I May Have JUST Started Thinking About My Wedding, but This Downtown LA Venue is Officially THE Spot of My Dreams

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
seriously considering starting a fundraiser so we can get our shit together by next october and have the best wedding ever. talk about diy. being that we're on the yea-we're-only-25-and-I-shop-way-too-much kind of budget, it's going to be a lot of work. but wait, tangent....is this venue not THE most amazing space evvverrr?? oh, and, the most important part: i somehow, definitely, so good, without a doubt, found the man of my dreams :) seven years ago, just downstairs from my college dorm. such luck xx

Cue the DIY Revolution: This Group of NY Girls' New Site Should Have Them Ditching Their Day Jobs in No Time

Photobucket

holy crap! if there's anyone that has ever made me feel like a total slacker for not being able to manage a blog on top of a ten hour a day 9 to 5, a just-put-a-ring-on-my-finger fiancè slash roommate, and a social calendar (with a built in live music schedule) that's completely impossible not to become a total slave to....it's THE ALIOMI CHICKS. not only are these babes running a full-fledged ecommerce site and social media presence, complete with a blog, regular email blasts, photoshoots and video, but it looks like none of them have yet to devote their sunlight hours to the project. day job on top of a massive, totally rad diy sampling of apparel and accessories? beyond impressive.

aliomi chicks, if you're reading this, i give you major, major props. new fan, for sure. xx

Double Take! Dale Bozzio May Have Been the 80s' Lady Gaga, but her Band—Missing Persons—Was the Next Best Thing to Neon Asymmetrical Hair

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
confession. i've never been as into the 80's as i was the punk, the prog rock and the heavy metal of the 70's...but then there's dale bozzio and missing persons. watch this video and when you've still got this song stuck in your head tomorrow and the next day, you'll know exactly what i'm talking about.
oh and did i mention the gaga doppelganger factor? i know people have been saying this forever, but really. awesome.
